Please read the following notes carefully and apply via the application form only if you agree.
We organize it into four main elements. We proceed with the review based on these.
Reliable implementation of planned activities
Please carry out the event details you stated in your application responsibly. Changes such as the absence of the speaker who is the main content, or changes that significantly alter the purpose, are not permitted. If an unavoidable change is necessary, please be sure to consult the IVS Side Event Operations Office in advance.
Safety considerations
If your event involves risks of accidents or injuries, such as sauna, running, or sports-related activities, please clearly define the organizer’s responsibilities and take appropriate measures, such as obtaining insurance if necessary. Safety management is the organizer’s responsibility.
Proper management of alcohol consumption
Please confirm in advance whether any minors will be participating and establish the necessary operating rules. As the organizer, please ensure the event is managed responsibly so that excessive drinking does not disrupt the atmosphere.
Responsibility for customer acquisition
For matching-type events or projects that depend on a certain number of participants, attracting attendees is especially important. As the organizer, please make every effort to bring in enough participants so that the purpose of the event can be fulfilled.
Harassment prevention measures
Please provide advance warnings to prevent any kind of harassment from occurring, including sexual harassment, power harassment, alcohol harassment, moral harassment, and academic harassment. Also, be sure to establish a contact point for consultations in case of any emergency.
Support for the IVS Side Event Operations Office
Attendance at the briefing sessions and training sessions designated in advance is mandatory. In addition, please be sure to submit a report after implementation. When organizing the event, the person in charge may be contacted. Please respond promptly to any communications from the office.
Plans containing any of the following content are prohibited.
Political/religious activities
Multi-level marketing, aggressive investment solicitation
Damage to the IVS brand
Things with a high risk of harassment
If the above-mentioned “harassment training” has not been completed, or if the consent items have not been followed, or if it falls under the prohibited items, we may cancel the “official side event” even after approval.
In addition, among those that have not followed the consent items or fall under the prohibited items, those that IVS management determines to be malicious may be made public for cautionary purposes.
After approval, we will provide the form along with the badge kit. Please note that if a completion report is not submitted, the approval may be revoked.

Are free tickets or discount coupons offered as a benefit for hosting a side event?

You will be given one IVS PASS referral ticket. *For details about referral tickets, see below.

Does the venue need to be prepared by the organizer for the side event?
A
As a rule, please arrange this through the organizer. Although there are paid options and limited availability, there are areas that can be rented within the IVS2026 venue. Please check here for details.

If you fail the review for an official side event, is the event itself prohibited from being held?
A
There is no official certification, but that does not stop it from being held. However, in that case, it is prohibited to publicly refer to it as an official side event.

For officially approved events, please be sure to carry out the details of your application as submitted. If this is not done, we may later revoke the official side event approval, and for particularly malicious cases, we may also disclose them to warn other startup conferences.
