Headline Asia DE&I Policy

Established on April 25, 2025 — Headline Asia

  1. Why We Value DE&I

    Headline Asia believes that Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DE&I) plays an important role in realizing a sustainable society and is essential for corporate growth. As a venture capital firm that invests globally, and as the company that operates "IVS," one of Japan’s largest global startup conferences, we are committed to respecting diverse stakeholders and building an inclusive ecosystem.

    At IVS 2024, we set a target of 30% female participation and newly established the "EmpowerHER LOUNGE" to ensure diversity in the startup ecosystem and to realize a fair and inclusive conference. By creating opportunities for participants from diverse backgrounds to meet and collaborate, we have promoted a more inclusive startup ecosystem with less exclusion.


  2. What We Aim to Achieve to Realize DE&I
    • Formulating plans that include DE&I-respecting policies and KPIs

    • Demonstrating DE&I through leadership and strengthening communication

    • Realizing an organizational culture with psychological safety and inclusivity

    • Recruiting and developing diverse talent

    • Ensuring transparency

    • Organization-wide initiatives to address unconscious bias

    • Implementing education and training related to DE&I

    • Building mechanisms for regular evaluation and feedback


  3. Toward the Eradication of Harassment

    We categorically do not tolerate harassment against our company, our portfolio companies, or those under consideration for investment. We will implement the following initiatives.

    • Establishing a policy that does not tolerate harassment or discrimination

    • Clearly demonstrating management’s commitment to eliminating harassment

    • Building a safe whistleblowing/reporting system and operating it fairly

    • Education and training aimed at eliminating harassment and discrimination
