Judges for “IVS2026 LAUNCHPAD,” the gateway for the next generation of entrepreneurs, are being confirmed one after another. The application deadline is Tuesday, 4/21.
“IVS2026,” Japan’s largest startup conference, will be held over three days from Wednesday, July 1 to Friday, July 3, 2026, with Miyakomesse, Hotel Okura Kyoto, and other venues as its main locations. We are pleased to announce the judges for the pitch event “IVS2026 LAUNCHPAD,” one of the headline contents of this event.
About IVS2026 LAUNCHPAD
As the name suggests, IVS LAUNCHPAD is a pitch event launched with the hope of becoming a launchpad that supports the leap of early-stage startups that have not yet been introduced to the world.
First held in 2007, it will mark its 20th year in 2026. The cumulative number of entries has exceeded 5,000 companies. Of the companies that have taken the stage in the past, more than 60 have achieved an exit, and more than 100 have raised over JPY 1 billion, achieving rapid growth. Many startups have taken flight from IVS LAUNCHPAD as their launchpad. With its history and scale, IVS LAUNCHPAD has become one of Japan’s largest pitch events and is also called a gateway for the next generation of entrepreneurs.
Finalists selected through a rigorous screening process will present before judges chosen from investors, executives, and entrepreneurs, competing for ranking. Presenters who have advanced from among hundreds of applicants will deliver a six-minute presentation about their own product and the passion behind it.
At IVS2026 LAUNCHPAD, IVS and Kyoto Prefecture will work together to present the “Startup Kyoto International Award,” an award that intensively supports startups that win in global competition. As a winner’s prize, up to JPY 10 million will be awarded to the champion.

グリーベンチャーズ代表。テック企業でPdM・情報システム・パブリックアフェアーズを経験した後、2014年から投資事業を担当。2020年に純投資ファンドを設立し、AI・Deeptech・DXのシード・アーリーステージに30社以上投資してきました。プロダクトの強さだけでなく、組織設計や規制対応まで含めた事業全体を見て投資判断しています。投資先はスペースデータ、Solafune、SyntheticGestalt、インフォボックス、Stack、Univearth等。
相川 真太郎(あいかわ しんたろう)
Kiwoom Investment
韓国のIT・金融大手”Daou Kiwoom Group”傘下のベンチャーキャピタル”Kiwoom Investment”にて、アジア地域を中心にベンチャーファンドの投資を担当。韓国VCとして初となる日本VC向けFund of Fundsを運用。アジア地域のVCや事業会社とのネットワークを基盤に、日韓スタートアップのグローバル展開と成長支援にも注力。韓国生まれで明治大学商学部を卒業後、2012年にキャノングループに入社し、日本と中国で勤務。2018年にDaou Kiwoomグループに入社し、グループ企画室などを経て2024年より現職。
林 泰均（いむ てぎゅん）TAEKYUN LIM
Boost Capital株式会社
1995年、CSK（現SCSK）入社後、1999年にビズシークを設立し、2001年に楽天に売却。2003年のビズシークの吸収合併により楽天に入社。オークション担当役員に就任。2005年に楽天野球団取締役事業本部長。2006年に退社後は個人としてスタートアップベンチャーへの投資やコンサルティングを展開。2009年から2012年までは楽天顧問。2011年に設立したクロコスをヤフー（現LINEヤフー株式会社）に売却し2012年にヤフーへ入社。2013年よりヤフー執行役員としてヤフーショッピングを担当、2018年4月より常務執行役員コマースカンパニー長に就任し、eコマース、トラベル事業、金融事業を管轄。2019年6月にヤフー取締役 専務執行役員COOに就任し、コマースとメディアの全事業を管掌し、2022年4月にヤフー取締役 代表取締役社長 社長執行役員。CEOに就任。2023年9月退任。2024年1月、ベンチャーキャピタル運営会社BoostCapital株式会社を設立し、代表取締役に就任。

1991年、明治大学経営学部卒業後、太田昭和監査法人（現 EY新日本有限責任監査法人）入社。IPO支援から米国に上場するグローバル企業に至るまで多くの監査業務に従事。2005年から2007年、経済産業省商務情報政策局にてIT政策の立案に携わる。2019年7月、EY新日本有限責任監査法人理事長に就任し、大手監査法人初の女性理事長となる。2025年7月より同法人相談役。スタートアップ支援をライフワークとする。 経済産業省「DX銘柄」評価委員。Forbes JAPAN WOMEN AWARD 2021「ブレイクスルー賞」受賞。INvolve社「Heroes Women Role Model List」に日本人として初の殿堂入り。在日イタリア商工会議所主催「Mimosa Day Award2025」受賞。
片倉 正美（かたくら まさみ）

2021年より日本初ESG重視型ベンチャーキャピタルファンド「MPower Partners」の共同創業者。1994年より2020年までゴールドマン・サックス証券会社にて副会長兼チーフ日本株ストラテジストとして活躍。1999年に提唱した「ウーマノミクス」の概念はその後広く世界に浸透した。現在（株）ファーストリテイリンング社外取締役、京都大学経営管理大学院特命教授、米日カウンシル理事、東京大学グローバルナビゲーションボードメンバー。2020年に『女性社員の育て方、教えます』を出版。ハーバード大学、ジョンズホプキンズ大学院卒。
キャシー 松井(きゃしー まつい)

国内大手VCであるGlobal BrainのGeneral Parterとして、12年間に渡り、領域を問わず、メルカリ、ラクスル、ウェルスナビ等の数多くのスタートアップへの投資、育成、EXITに携わり、9社のIPOを実現。加えて、投資活動に留まらずファンド運営に関わる幅広い業務を担当。GB参画前は、BCG、リクルート（出向）で経験を積む。BCGでは主にテレコム、消費財、小売を中心にC向けのサービスやプロダクトに関するコンサルティング業務に従事。リクルートでは新規事業の開発を行う部署にて、事業戦略の立案や事業モニタリングを担当。2024年ALPHAを創業
立岡 恵介（たつおか けいすけ）

慶應義塾大学環境情報学部卒業後、リクルートに入社。2009年コロプラに参画し、取締役副社長に就任。2012年東証マザーズIPO、2014年東証一部上場。退任後は個人エンジェル投資家、ドローン・エアモビリティ前提社会を目指す分野特化型VC「DRONE FUND」や、「千葉道場ファンド」の代表を務める。またホンダジェット国内１号機オーナーであり自ら航空パイロットライセンス（自家用操縦士 Private Pilot License）を有する。「麻布 鮨功」オーナー兼寿司職人。農業生産法人 鎌倉山 千葉農園にて、無農薬野菜も生産。
千葉 功太郎（ちば こうたろう）

2020年より部長としてスタートアップ支援を担当し、2026年4月から執行役員に就任。大和証券におけるスタートアップ支援の責任者として、資金調達、M&A、IPOなど、企業の成長フェーズに応じて、上場後まで見据えた中長期的な企業価値向上を重視した支援に取り組んでいる。2020年以前は、食品、化学、建設などの業界を対象に、長年にわたり投資銀行業務に従事し、M&Aや資金調達、IRサポートなどを通じて企業の成長を支援してきた。
平野 倫之（ひらの ともゆき）

2012年、Y Combinator初の日本人起業家として採択され、米国にて福利厚生SaaSのFondを創業。Salesforce、Facebook、Visaなどを含む企業にサービスを提供。Y CombinatorおよびAndreessen Horowitzから資金調達を行い、2023年にEdenredへ売却。2024年、日米スタートアップに投資するRice Capitalを創業。現在はAI領域を中心に投資を行い、累計投資先は200社。
福山 太郎(ふくやま たろう)
京都大学イノベーションキャピタル株式会社
国内外の研究所で基礎研究に従事しながら国内大手製薬会社で新規事業の立ち上げや経営企画を経験。その後京都大学100％子会社のVCであるiCAPにJoin、現在はアカデミア発ディープテック投資を統括する執行役員投資部長。基礎研究成果を起点とした創業・事業家を強みとし、京都フュージョニアリング、LegalOn Technologies等を擁するポートフォリオを構築。京大起業家クラブECC-iCAP創設者。研究所・製薬企業で新事業創出を主導し、現在も化学・医学の教育研究に従事。博士（薬学）
八木 信宏（やぎ のぶひろ）
山陰合同銀行
1987年入行、営業店の窓口業務をはじめ、本部での商品開発、広告宣伝、監査業務、 クレジットカードセンターやカスタマーセンターの新規事業立ち上げなどを経て、 2013年にリテール店舗の出張所長に就任。その後2015年にフルバンク店舗の支店長に就任して以降、支店長を歴任し、2022年銀行業界では数少ない生え抜きの執行役員に就任。2024年4月専務執行役員、同年6月から現職。

IVS2026 LAUNCHPAD is currently seeking presenters. The application deadline is Tuesday, April 21. The only participation requirement is that startups must be able to demonstrate their product. Nationality and location are not restricted, and applications from overseas startups are also welcome. The winner is also scheduled to receive JPY 10 million. Overview of IVS2026
IVS is Japan’s largest startup conference, launched in 2007. Startups, investors, large corporations, creators, and others from Japan and abroad gather together, and in 2026 it will be held in Kyoto under the theme “Japan is Back.”
This year, we are introducing two areas: the culmination of IVS2023, IVS2024, and IVS2025 held in Kyoto — the “IVS” area (Kyoto City Kangyo Hall “Miyakomesse” and ROHM Theatre Kyoto) — and the Reiwa-era fully invitation-only “IVS CORE” area (Hotel Okura Kyoto). It will be held across these two areas.

An area open to everyone who creates the next generation: startup professionals, business companies, investors, aspiring entrepreneurs, supporters, government, research institutions, and students. We will host stage sessions, the startup exhibition “Startup Market,” and IVS’s signature pitch event “IVS LAUNCHPAD.”
【IVS CORE (Hotel Okura Kyoto)】*Newly established, fully invitation-only
This is a fully invitation-only area for decision-makers only, including startup executives, institutional investors, senior executives of large corporations, and government and policy officials. It provides a venue where concrete decisions move forward, with all sessions off the record, power matching among decision-makers, M&A matching, and more.
An access pass is required to participate in IVS2026. There are two types: the “IVS PASS,” which grants access to the IVS area, and the fully invitation-only “CORE PASS,” which grants access to the IVS CORE area. The CORE PASS is a reviewed pass and can only be purchased by invitees.
