About IVS CORE

IVS CORE is a fully invitation-only conference. Only those directly involved in discussions that lead to decision-making on key agendas in Japan's startup industry will gather.
At Hotel Okura Kyoto, leading executives and investors from across the industry will come together to discuss everything from financing negotiations and decisions to corporate transactions and policy proposals. The conclusions reached here will become industry standards. All sessions are off the record. Because recording, audio capture, and posting on social media are prohibited, frank discussions can take place.
Between sessions, conversations will start in the hotel lobby and lounge, naturally developing into business meetings and discussions. A shuttle bus will run between the IVS venue (Miyakomesse) and the area, allowing free movement between both areas.
Please note that IVS CORE will be held over two days, from Wednesday, July 1 to Thursday, July 2, 2026. On Friday, July 3, please experience the content at the IVS venue (Miyakomesse).

Overview of IVS2026

IVS is Japan's largest startup conference, which began in 2007. Startups, investors, large companies, creators, and others from Japan and abroad gather together, and in 2026 it will be held in Kyoto under the theme "Japan is Back."
This year, we will introduce two areas: the culmination of the IVS area, evolved from IVS2023, IVS2024, and IVS2025 held in Kyoto (Kyoto Municipal Industry Hall "Miyakomesse" and "ROHM Theatre Kyoto"), and the Reiwa-era fully invitation-only IVS "IVS CORE" area (Hotel Okura Kyoto). The event will be held across these two areas.
[IVS ("Miyakomesse" / "ROHM Theatre Kyoto")]
This area is open to everyone who helps create the next generation: startup-related professionals, business companies, investors, aspiring entrepreneurs, supporters, government, research institutions, and students. It will feature stage sessions, the startup exhibition "Startup Market," and IVS's signature pitch event, "IVS LAUNCHPAD."
[IVS CORE (Hotel Okura Kyoto)] *Newly established / Fully invitation-only
This fully invitation-only area is for decision-makers only, including startup executives, institutional investors, senior executives of large corporations, and government and policy officials. It provides a venue where concrete decisions are made, with all sessions off the record, power matching among decision-makers, M&A matching, and more.
An access pass is required to participate in IVS2026. There are two types: the "IVS PASS," which allows entry to the IVS area, and the fully invitation-only "CORE PASS," which allows entry to the IVS CORE area. The CORE PASS is a reviewed PASS and can be purchased only by invitees.
